In this fresco at Herculaneum is the representation, on a white background, of Tyche: daughter of Tethys and Ocean. In Rome, the goddess Fortuna seemed particularly suited to embody the translation of the name Tyche.
The divinity holding the so-called Horn of Amalthea, symbolizing abundance. In the other hand she holds a rudder , through which she directs the path of human life.
